作者:Kitty Lee   参与5天泰国自然染工作坊简体中文:  https://www.makerbay.org/blogs/news/5-1Joining Thailand natural dyeing five days workshop English version: https://www.makerbay.org/blogs/news/joining-thailand-natural-dyeing-workshop     我想和你們分享我在野外不可思議的手作經驗。在四月的時候,我參加了由EARTH.er (https://www.earthertaio.com/)所舉辦於2019年4月20日至24日為期5天的泰國自然染工作坊。 <EARTH.er 泰北5天植物染及農村體驗工作坊>在工作坊開始前兩天提前來到了這裡,在這兩天,我去了位於清邁的手作者的天地Makerspace. 也發現了許多位於清邁的布料市場,裡頭五顏六色的布料,總是吸引著你的目光。   來到了工作坊的第一天,工作坊一開始,我便在機場旁遇見了同為此趟染色的隊伍,我們便一同前往下榻的民宿(螢火蟲基金會Nakoli Foundation)。是個寧靜且美好的家園,周圍環繞著綠意盎然的樹木。 工作坊第二天,我們來到了 P. Muck 的染色工作室。他介紹了不同的天然染原料給我們認識。像是紫膠能夠製出紅色。首先,你需要將紫膠壓碎成小塊,接著倒入沸水中,均勻攪拌,重複這個步驟幾次,直到大部分的紅色染料從紫膠中釋出,最後便可得到一碗天然的紅色染料。為了改變成不同層次的紅,我們可以從中加入一些羅望子汁與明礬,這兩樣東西能夠影響染料中的酸鹼值,使顏色根據你添加的多寡而有所變化。假如你想要亮紅色,你可以多加點羅望子汁。假如你想要的是粉紅色,那麼你就可以多加點明礬在裡面。   紫膠無法一年四季都採集的到,P. Muck告訴我們可以在市場裡買到粉末。你只需要將粉末與水混和在一起,你就能夠獲得一大碗的染料,非常的方便但價格也十分的貴。 工作坊第三天,P. Muck 向我們展示如何利用烏木果實製作出深棕色,你可以在8月至9月採集到它們。染料提煉的過程都是十分相似的,但別忘了使用前要先過濾,否則,當你在染色時,果實殘留物將會黏著在你的布上,如此一來,顏色便無法均勻地染上。 在下午,我們做了蠟染,蠟染是利用蠟在布上作畫,接著將布進行染色,有蠟作畫的地方,便無法吸收染料。蠟染染色後,便將布料丟入沸水中使蠟融化,接著你就便可以看到你所畫的圖案了。你甚至可以利用畫筆畫出你特有的圖案,或是將刻好的木章浸在蠟中,把你的設計轉印到織布上。 工作坊第四天,這一整天,我們持續製作我們的染布。 來到了第五天,也就是工作坊的最後一天。早上,我們待在民宿裡(螢火蟲基金會Nakoli Foundation), P. Mudee 跟教我們傳統的編織技術。   在我們回香港前,P. Muck 帶我們來到了Pa-da棉織品博物館 (Pa-da cotton textile museum)。裡面有著非常多細緻的布料,內含許多染色的知識。但我們不能夠在博物館裡拍攝照片,只能夠在一樓進行拍攝,這點讓我有點難過。 這是場非常驚豔又十分難忘的旅程,回到了香港,我想念著去P. Muck的工作室那沿途的風景、天然的新鮮水果、人們臉上的笑容,以及那寧靜清幽的房子。
