  • From Central or Mongkok is around 25-30 minutes by MTR
  • Travel to Yau Tong MTR Station take Exit A1 
  • Walk to the far end of the outdoor mall, make a right past the elevators and take the exit down to Cha Kwo Ling Road (past HSBC ATM machine).  
  • On Cha Kwo Ling Road, make a left and walk uphill to the traffic light. Cross the street and take the first on the right onto Sze Shan Street.
  • Once on Sze Shan Street, take the third alley on the right which takes you to Shung Yiu Street. Make a left onto Shung Yiu Street.
  • Our bright orange door is on the left hand side - across from a large residential construction site.
  • Shortcut for athletic visitors (yes, you): After exiting onto Cha Kwo Ling Road, cross the road and walk up Ko On Lane (directly opposite the base of the stairs). At the bend of the lane, walk up the small slope on the right of the gray building (along a metal fence) which will take you directly to Shung Yiu Street. This back alley short cut takes you only 5 minutes from the MTR to MakerBay!

By Car

  • For a short stay, visitors can park on the street outside of MakerBay.
  • For a paid carpark, the nearest carpark is Domain mall parking next to the MTR Station. 

From HK Airport (around 1 hour and 30 minutes)

  • Take Airport Express to Hong Kong Station, walk underground within MTR station to Central Station, change to Island Line, take train toward Chai Wan, get off at North Point, change to Tseung Kwan O or Po Lam Line and get off at Yau Tong Station.

From Shenzhen By Train (around 1 hour and 30 minutes)

  • Come through Lo Wu checkpoint (Train map). 
  • Take East rail line to Kowloon Tong then change for Kwun Tong Line to Yau Tong.
  • OR take a 40 minute taxi ride (without traffic).

By Bus

By Bicycle

Cycling from Sheung Wan to MakerBay (in Yau Tong):

  • The fastest and most affordable way is cycle from Sheung Wan to North Point MTR station along the main roads (30 minutes)
  • Take the MTR* from North Point to Yau Tong 9.5HKD (15 minutes)
  • Cycle from Yau Tong Station to MakerBay (5 Minutes).

Total cost 9.5HKD. Total time 50 minutes.
You will need to remove the front wheel to get on the MTR.

There are also several ferries you can take to cross the Hong Kong Harbour.

  • Walk through Grand Millennium Plaza to Bonham Strand
  • Cross over the zebra crossing and turn left
  • Walk along Wellington Street (up to Lin Heung Tea House)
  • Turn right at Aberdeen Street to PMQ
From Central Station (Exit C)
  • Turn left and walk along Des Voeux Road
  • Turn left at Queen Victoria Street to the former Central Market
  • Take the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator
  • Turn right at Staunton Street
  • Walk straight to PMQ
From Hong Kong Station (Exit E1)
  • Exit International Finance Centre (IFC)
  • Walk through the Central Elevated Walkway(footbridge) to Hang Seng Bank Headquarters and the former Central Market
  • Take the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator
  • Turn right at Staunton Street
  • Walk straight to PMQ
